Dear Professor Morris,

I was a student of yours this past Winter Quarter 2016. This thank you note is long overdue, but I wanted to take this time now to express my gratitude to you for the valuable lessons I learned from your class. It's been a little over a month since I have started working full time at a small start-up company, and I've realized more and more just how valuable your lessons are. I am very grateful for everything I have taken away from your class - from the many guest speakers who shared their own experiences, to all of the knowledge you've passed on to your students. Your class was unlike other classes I've taken in college because rather than have us memorize definitions or only presented us with information; you brought the "real world" into the classroom. You gave us the opportunity to work in groups and kept us on our toes - you instilled in us the importance of being prepared for any situation. I also found your discussions to not only be informational but also enlightening, because you covered more than the basic lessons in business. You also taught us valuable life lessons - about being true to ones self, and that the key to success is to view one's failures as setbacks, and how you overcome them. You mentioned earlier in the quarter that your goal is for your students to leave college smarter than others, and I truly believe that you have greatly surpassed this goal with me. Thank you again for all of your priceless lessons.

Best, Angela Compania
